Procrastination, Coffee, and Doughnuts

As we continue into the semester I feel that I just keep putting off school work more towards instead of having a week to do it, it usually ends up a day or so before it is due. Procrastination at its finest. It is in the middle of the semester and it is just really hard to stay focused and complete that school work ahead of time instead of the night before.

But it is not only procrastination of school work that is affecting me, it is also procrastination of cleaning and getting certain tasks around the house completed.

A lot of coffee is needed and will be continued to be needed to get through and finish this semester strong. This week there are a lot of midterms and last week for many students. I bet they needed coffee too.

I feel that although I am a very organized person, I still somehow tend to procrastinate. I get a lot of things done in the beginning of the week but then I end up saving a few things to last minute and they still get completed but why would I have done that when I should have done it in the beginning of the week.

Coffee is an essence but so is doughnuts. I bought a box of little mini doughnuts and they are a treat that goes with my coffee. Which I plan on having tomorrow morning. Coffee and doughnuts always go good.

Now that I have my coffee and doughnuts I need to think of a better time management skill in order to get everything done that is needed and not be a procrastinator.

Finally it is Fall Break

The day has finally came, it is officially fall break. Technically fall break began yesterday but I had to work, so really today I'm counting it as my first day and it is able to last for four days. No work, no school. I don't even know what to do with all this time, well I guess for part of it I do. There is always something to be done right.

There are always things that need to be done for example there is always, always laundry that needs to be done and seems to be never ending, just constantly growing instead. Then the house needs cleaned and picked up. The car needs an oil change. Groceries will need to be grabbed. There are errands to be ran. But the nice thing is being able to focus on those and being able to not have to worry about work or school for a few days.

On the other hand it is fall. One of the most beautiful seasons and time of the year when the air is cool and the leaves are vibrant colors of oranges, yellows, and reds. Also it is time for the apple orchard, pumpkin picking, Carmel apples, carving pumpkins, and anything that is pumpkin flavored. It is crazy how many things that are pumpkin flavored I was shocked. Working in a grocery store I didn't realize until now how much stuff is able to be pumpkin flavored. Things like:
  • Ice creams
  • Coffee Creamers
  • Pop tarts
  • Toaster Strudel
  • Pumpkin yogurt
  • Pumpkin Pie Oreos
    • And these were just a few of the items that I could recall off the top of my head. Fall is officially here and so are these wild treats. I heard that the ice cream tastes like pumpkin pie and a scoop of ice cream, that it is extremely close to the exact flavor. I however have yet to try any of these. The only pumpkin flavored item I have tried is the pumpkin spice latte, which wasn't too bad but in moderation personally I think.

Fall Break is Approaching

The nights are becoming longer and the leaves are beginning to change to the beautiful colors of red, orange, and yellow. Walking around the leaves crunch beneath you and the air is cool and crisp. Out comes fall boots, flannel shirts, puffy vests, and pumpkin spice lattes. Another thing that is coming up on the agenda is fall break. Fall break is finally approaching. That time where college students are given a break from the course load and able to take a deep breath.

Fall break is a time where one can go on a small getaway, a small vacation, or just sit at home and relax, or work that's always an option as well. It will be nice to be able to take a breather, get reorganized, and ready for school to begin again. This is a time where one can take a break and get regrouped or just plan a small getaway.

What does one do on fall break? Does one decide to get away for the time being? Does one continue working? Does one get caught up and binge watch on Netflix? Does one adore the time spent outside? There are so many things that one can do during Fall Break that it makes it difficult to decide.

What am I going to do? I have no clue at the moment. Enjoy the few days off for sure and get caught up on my Netflix shows. Other than that enjoy the time off from school as well as work.
